NxtGen Integration

Automatically sync fan contact data collected from the Bandsintown Widget and your NxtGen Mini-Site when linked to Bandsintown to your NxtGen account.

Overview

Bandsintown for Artists connects with NxtGen to help you reach fans faster. Once connected, new fan signups from your Bandsintown Widget, Smart Link, and Signup Form are automatically sent to your NxtGen account in real time.

How to connect Bandsintown for Artists to NxtGen

  1. Go to your Bandsintown for Artists Settings page (make sure you’re logged into the correct artist account).

  2. Scroll down to the Fan Contact Sync section and click the Set Up button.
    ​

  3. In the configuration modal, locate the Platform dropdown menu and select NxtGen.
    ​

  4. Copy the webhook URL from your NxtGen dashboard, then paste it into the webhook URL field on Bandsintown and click Start Syncing.

  5. Copy the Secret Key provided by Bandsintown.
    ​

  6. Paste the Secret Key into your NxtGen Dashboard and click Save.

Note: Only new signups will sync. Past fan data can be manually exported from Bandsintown (Fan Manager tab → click "Export") and uploaded into NxtGen.

SMS consent and compliance

Fans who share their phone numbers through Bandsintown are verified through a double opt-in process and, as of October 2025, include SMS-specific consent language that meets TCPA requirements in all signup flows. This means the data sent to Next Gen is already validated and compliant for text message marketing. For more details, see Collecting Fan Data.

Important: The Fan Contact Sync tool only syncs opt-ins collected through your Bandsintown Widget, Smart Link, and Signup Form. Followers and RSVPs gained on the Bandsintown website and app do not sync to NxtGen.
