Bandsintown tools for Bandzoogle

Bandsintown offers four different tools to promote your events, build your Bandsintown following and grow your fan contacts through Bandzoogle. Learn more about each below.

  1. The Bandsintown feature for Bandzoogle is the easiest way to add tour dates to your site in a few clicks. This will display a list upcoming of events that matches the design of your Bandzoogle website.

  2. The Advanced Events Widget is an event listing with a fully customizable text, look and feel to match your style

  3. The Follow Button a simple call to action button allowing site visitors to follow you on Bandsintown without leaving your site

  4. The Signup Form is an embedded email signup form to allow fans to join your Bandsintown mailing list without leaving your site

Display upcoming live shows on your website with the Bandsintown Feature for Bandzoogle

  1. From the Edit Content tab on Bandzoogle, click Add Feature

  2. Select the Bandsintown Feature

  3. Use the placement arrows to set the Feature’s location

  4. In the Feature setup, enter your Bandsintown account name

  5. Choose your Display format from the following options:

    • List - Event details are included in a list view on the main page. You have the option to set the number of upcoming events on the page. If using the List display, click on the dropdown to select the number of events per page that will be displayed on your site

    • Calendar - Monthly view of your upcoming and past events. Visitors can click highlighted dates for event details, and browse events by month.

    • Table - Displays upcoming events in a table with columns (date, event, location). Event titles are clickable, and open a pop-up to display additional event details.

  6. Toggle on or off the “Follow us” link. When enabled, website visitors can click on a direct link to your Bandsintown page and follow you from within Bandsintown

  7. Toggle on or off the "Request a Show" link. When enabled, website visitors can click on a direct link to your Bandsintown page where they can request a show through Bandsintown

  8. Click Save

This will populate your Bandsintown events onto the page. You can change the display format for your Bandsintown Feature at any time without affecting your existing event listings.

Once added, your fans can see show details and links to get tickets and set reminders directly on your website.

PLEASE NOTE: After you have the Bandsintown Feature added to your website, any shows added to Bandsintown will automatically display on your website. Past events will not display in the Bandsintown feature.

Display upcoming live shows on your website with the Advanced Events Widget

Use our builder to customize your Widget with no coding required, copy your embed code, and add it to your website.

The Events Widget is compatible with all website builders that support HTML editing, including Bandzoogle, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and more.

Step 1: Create your custom Widget

Use the default install settings to have the Widget automatically match your website's color scheme, or dig deeper to customize fonts, colors, content, and more.

Step 2: Copy your Widget code

Once you’ve finished customizing your Widget, click Copy Code to copy the embed code to your clipboard.

Step 3: Paste your code into your Bandzoogle page

  1. From your Bandzoogle account, go to Edit Site

  2. Click +Add Feature

  3. From the Basic Features list, choose HTML Code

  4. Select the area where you want to display your tour dates

  5. Paste your Widget code in the HTML Code section

  6. Click Save

Any events listed on your Bandsintown page will automatically display on your Bandzoogle page.

Grow your Bandsintown following and contact list with the Follow Button

Build your Follow button URL, then add the URL to a new button on your Bandzoogle page.

Step 1: Build your Follow button URL

Start with this template:

Next, replace certain elements of the URL with your personal details:

  1. Replace “2619661” with your own Bandsintown artist ID

    1. Your artist ID can be found by viewing your Bandsintown page in your browser and taking note of the unique number in the URL

  2. Replace “{yourappid}” with “BANDZOOGLE_” followed by your artist name, with hyphens for spaces. For example “BANDZOOGLE_Justin-Bieber”

  3. replace “{your_affiliation_code}” with the affiliation code you already use to call the Bandsintown API, or remove the “&affil_code={your_affiliation_code}” parameter altogether if you don’t already have one

  4. Optionally, you can customize the URL further using these parameters as examples

    1. &bg-color=%231A1A1A

    2. &border-color=%23FFFFFF

    3. &cta-bg-color=%23FFFFFF

    4. &cta-border-color=%23FFFFFF

    5. &cta-border-radius=0px

    6. &cta-border-width=3px

    7. &cta-text-color=%23FFFFFF

Step 2: Add your URL to a Bandzoogle button

Once your URL is ready, create a new Bandzoogle button and attach your URL to it.

  1. Click + Add Feature

  2. Select Button from the Basic Features

  3. Edit the button text which displays on the button

    1. We recommend changing it to “Follow me on Bandsintown” to avoid confusion

  4. Change your link type to “An external page” then paste in your URL

  5. Click Save

When clicked, your button should open the Fan Acquisition Form.

Grow your contact list with the embedded Signup Form

Use our Signup Form builder to customize your form, then copy your embed code and add it to your website.

Step 1: Customize your Signup Form

Adjust the background color, layout, alignment, title, header text, font and text style to your liking.

Step 2: Copy your embed code

Once you’ve finished customizing your Signup Form, click Copy Code to add it to your clipboard.

Step 3: Paste your embed code into your Bandzoogle page

  1. From your Bandzoogle account, go to Edit Site

  2. Click +Add Feature

  3. From the Basic Features list, choose HTML Code

  4. Select the area where you want to display your Signup Form

  5. Paste your code in the HTML Code section

  6. Click Save

Site visitors can now easily subscribe to your contact list.

Other Parameters you could add to the URL to customize colors, sizes and fonts:
