How does Team Management work?

Team Management allows you to invite your team to collaborate on your artists on Bandsintown in just a few clicks.

  • Add and remove users of any artist page you manage

  • Control users access levels (Admin, Editor, Viewer)

  • Get alerted when someone requests access to your artist pages

What access levels are available?

Team Management lets you organize your team in three access levels: Admins, Editors and Viewers.

  • Admin access Provides access to all the features on Bandsintown for Artists including Team Management, which brings the ability to invite team members, to get notified of new team members added or existing team members removed, and the responsibility to review and accept or reject incoming requests to join the artist’s team.

  • Editor access Provides access to all the features on Bandsintown for Artists (edit your artist’s profile, change your artist’s settings, add/edit/delete events, post messages to your fans, build email campaigns, import contacts, review insights) with the exception of Team Management: Editors cannot invite someone to the artist's team or manage the artist's team members. Editors may be granted "Contacts" privilege, which provides access to opt-in fan contact data under Fan Manager.

  • Viewer access Provides access to the artist’s Insights and to artist tools in the Toolbox, i.e. the Widget/API, the Smart Link, and the Signup Form. Viewers cannot edit the artist's profile, add/edit/delete events, post messages to fans or build email campaigns. The Widget and Signup Form can be fully customized and the code copied to be used on your artist's website, but changes made by a Viewer are not saved.

How do I add a new member to my artist's team?

You must be an Admin on your artist to perform these actions.

  1. Log in to Bandsintown for Artists, go to your artist's Settings, and click on the Users tab:

  2. Depending on how many people you wish to add: - if you wish to invite a single person, click on the "+ Invite" button: fill in the form, select the appropriate access level, then submit - if you wish to invite several people, click on the "Bulk Invite" button: type their respective email addresses separated by a comma, select the appropriate access level, then submit

Each person invited will immediately receive an invitation email (have them check their Spam folder if they don't see it in their inbox). Upon clicking on the invitation, if they're using Bandsintown for Artists for the first time, they will be prompted to review their account information and set up a password. If they've used Bandsintown for Artists already, they can simply log in with their credentials. Note that invitations are valid for 7 days.

How do I become an administrator on my artist's team?

Team Management is currently in private Early Access and is being rolled out progressively. Please reach out to your usual Bandsintown Artist Partnership contact if you're interested in trying out this feature.

How do I change a team member's access level?

You must be an Admin on your artist to perform these actions.

  1. Log in to Bandsintown for Artists, go to your artist's Settings, and click on the Users tab

  2. Look up the person whose access level you wish to change, then click on the options menu button at the end of the row, and select Edit

  3. Change this team member's access level, then submit

The change will be effective immediately. The team member will be notified of this change by email, and so will other Admins, if any.

Where do I find requests to join my artist's team?

You must be an Admin on your artist to perform these actions.

  1. Log in to Bandsintown for Artists, go to your artist's Settings, and click on the Users tab

  2. If there are pending requests to join your artist's team, you will see them at the top of the page under Requests

  3. Simply click on Approve or Deny to process this request

The person who submitted the request will be notified immediately, and so will other Admins on your artist team, if any.
