Facebook announced a new Pages experience in January 2021 that they plan to roll out to all Pages in the following months. The experience brings these updates:

  • A redesigned layout for Facebook Pages

  • A dedicated News Feed for Pages

  • The ability to switch profiles between your personal profile and each Page you manage within your Facebook account

At this time the new experience is only offered to select Pages. If preferred, these Pages can use the new Page experience or switch back to a Classic Page during the rollout phase.

The new Page experience does not yet work with Bandsintown

To continue managing your Facebook Page in Bandsintown, do not switch to the new Page experience.

Because the experience is still under development, specific features like page management by third-party partners like Bandsintown is currently unavailable. Users who switch to the new Page experience will be unable to install and display the Live Shows tab on their Facebook page. They also may be unable to post directly from Bandsintown to Facebook.

If you’ve already switched to the new Page experience, we encourage you to switch back to a Classic Page to avoid issues when trying to connect Facebook to Bandsintown. Please note: this may lead to losing content published to the Page while on the new experience.

How to tell if your Page is new or classic

On new Pages, the location of the Page’s profile picture is centered on the cover photo.

On classic Pages, the profile picture is at the bottom-left of the cover photo.

We will update this article as we learn more. For more information, see Facebook’s articles About the new Pages experience and Frequently asked questions for new Pages.
