Choosing the right ticket link

Ticket links on Bandsintown should take fans directly to the page where they can buy tickets for the selected event.

What's required

Your ticket link must go to the specific purchase page for that event, on the vendor's site.

What's not supported

The following link types are not allowed:

  1. Artist pages or tour pages that list multiple events

  2. General landing pages for a venue, promoter, or ticketing platform

  3. Waitlist or sign-up pages

  4. Any page that requires fans to click again to reach the actual ticket vendor

Why this matters

Direct ticket links create a better fan experience. Fans who choose an event on your Bandsintown artist page, Widget, Smart Link, or email campaign should land on the purchase page for that event, not somewhere they need to search or click through. This reduces drop-off and helps more fans complete their purchase.

What happens if a link isn't supported

Single event (create or update) If you enter a link that doesn't meet these requirements, you'll see the error: "Ticket link must go directly to the purchase page." Fix the link to clear the error. You won't be able to save the event until it's fixed.

Bulk upload If one or more ticket links in your upload don't meet these requirements, the event is still created as a draft, without the unsupported link. You'll see a summary message flagging the affected rows, plus a note on each affected row. Add a valid ticket link before publishing.
