Distribution to Spotify, Google, Apple Maps, and Shazam

Learn how to list your events once and for all with Bandsintown for Artists’ global distribution network.

When you list your events on Bandsintown, they’ll automatically be distributed to Spotify, YouTube, Google, Apple, and Shazam, putting them in front of millions of fans worldwide and helping you drive ticket sales.

Bandsintown concert data shared with distribution partners can include the event name, artist lineup, location, date/time, venue, ticket link(s), and event image.

PLEASE NOTE: Any changes you make to an event will prevent other event organizers or partners from making further changes.

Spotify

Spotify uses Bandsintown concert data to power event listings for artists and populate Event Pages that feature venue information, artist content, and a link for fans to buy tickets from one or more ticketing partners.

Where and how Bandsintown events appear on Spotify

Fans can find out about upcoming concerts near them while streaming music, watching videos, or exploring artist profiles on Spotify.

Bandsintown event listings appear on Spotify in the following places:

  • On the profile(s) of the performing artist(s)

  • In fans’ personalized Live Events feed

  • In the Now Playing view

  • On release pages

  • In the video Watch Feed

  • On Spotify Home

  • In the Browse section

Spotify users can tap on an event to see a dedicated Event Page on Spotify with all of the show details and ticket links pointing to the ticket provider’s website or the corresponding Bandsintown event page.

YouTube

YouTube uses Bandsintown concert data exclusively to power event listings on YouTube Official Artist Channels, videos, and Shorts for billions of fans to discover and buy tickets.

Where and how Bandsintown events appear on YouTube

Your events appear in the Concerts tab on your Official Artist Channel:

  • In the Watch feed below your videos

  • In the YouTube Shorts feed

Fans who subscribe to your YouTube Official Artist Channel will also receive YouTube push notifications for your concerts in their area.

Google

Google Search uses Bandsintown concert data to power music event listings and tour dates when fans search for an artist or venue.

Where and how Bandsintown events appear on Google

When fans search for an artist on Google, events synced from Bandsintown appear within the Events tab in the artist module at the top of the search results page. Each event listing displayed includes a link to the event page on Bandsintown, where fans can see event information, buy tickets, set a reminder, and more.

When fans search for an artist on Google and include terms like "concerts", "tour", or "tour dates," Google automatically displays the Events tab first in the search results.

When fans search for a venue on Google, events synced from Bandsintown appear within the Events section of the venue information module on the right side of the search results, or under the Events tab on mobile. Each event listing displayed includes a link to the event page on Bandsintown, where fans can see event information, buy tickets, set a reminder, and more.

PLEASE NOTE: Updates to existing events and new events added using Bandsintown for Artists may take up to 30 hours to appear on Google.

Apple Music

Apple uses Bandsintown concert data to power show listings across the Apple Music app, including in the Concerts carousel on the homepage, artist pages, push notifications, and the Concerts tab — Apple Music's dedicated concert discovery section. Fans can discover nearby shows and buy tickets without leaving the app.

The Apple Music app homepage features a Concerts carousel with nearby shows. Fans can click through to see event details.

In the Concerts tab (Search → Concerts), fans can browse events by location, date, and genre — and tap through to venue details and ticket links without leaving the app.

When fans visit your Apple Music artist page, they’ll see your upcoming shows listed directly alongside your music.

Apple Music will also notify fans when you’re playing near them with push notifications.

Note: Bandsintown is one of Apple Music’s concert data providers alongside Ticketmaster. If you have events managed through Ticketmaster, they may also appear on Apple Music. Connecting your Bandsintown profile gives you control over your listings and ensures the most accurate and complete event information appears across Apple services.

Apple Maps

Apple Maps uses Bandsintown concert data to showcase upcoming events when fans search for venues.

Where and how Bandsintown events appear on Apple Maps

When fans search for venues on Apple Maps, they can tap the Tickets button on the venue's business listing and select Shazam in order to see a list of upcoming shows at that venue. Fans can tap on any event to see more information, add it to their calendar, buy tickets, or view more information on the Bandsintown event page.

Apple Maps Music Guides

Apple Maps also offers over 40 Music Guides, powered by Bandsintown concert data and curated by Apple Music editors, showcasing music venues in major cities around the world.

Music Guides are created at the sole discretion of Apple Music editors. Listing events on Bandsintown does not guarantee inclusion in these guides, but is a necessary first step.

Shazam

Shazam uses Bandsintown concert data to power event listings that appear when fans Shazam a song, search for an artist, or browse the Concerts page.

Where and how Bandsintown events appear on Shazam

When users Shazam a song, events synced from Bandsintown appear in the Concerts Near You section on the song recognition page. Users can tap on the event to view more information, buy tickets, add it to their calendar, and save the event.

Additionally, when users visit an artist profile on Shazam, events synced from Bandsintown appear in the Concerts Near You section.

When users click on the Concerts tab on the Shazam homescreen, events synced from Bandsintown appear in the Explore section. Users can tap on the event to view more information, buy tickets, add it to their calendar, and save the event.
